We are Graham & Linda, husband and wife, owners of Milliesuds handcrafted soaps. We found we loved the whole process of making soap so much that we wanted to share the experience with others.  Traditional handmade soap contains whats called "the holy trinity" which includes palm oil, coconut oil and olive oil.  We wanted to take our soap making a step further.  The skin is the largest organ on the body and we believe that skin care is incredibly important to our heath and wellbeing.  Which is why we have developed our range of natural soaps. We believe our soap recipes are the best available.  After selling our products through our craft fairs our customers think so too.

We got into soap making by accident, after years of using commercial soap we found that it was too harsh on our skin. When we looked into how they made it we found that the natural glycerine that naturally occurs in soap is chemically extracted then chemical colours and fragrances are added to the finished soap. The end product is just a block of chemicals that are harsh to use and can be the cause of many skin related problems. All of our soaps are handmade using only the finest of oils such as almond oil, castor oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil and cocoa butter.  Those butters and oils were chosen because of their delicate skin care and vitamin content properties.  We believe our special blend gives a bar thats not too hard and produces luxurious foamy bubbles, whilst leaving your skin silky soft. We only use the finest essential oils to scent our soap, and herbs and spices such as paprika and turmeric add a dash of colour to the finished bar.

To comply with current EU/UK legislation all our soap recipes are backed by the Cosmetic Safety Assessment which all soap makers have by law to abide by.

We currently do not sell from this website, we can be found at various craft fairs around the Yorkshire area during 2011.  We have also expanded our range of natural bath and body care products, please click on the tabs at the side of the page to explore further.
